Payroll & HR Coordinator

We are working with an established business in the Leicestershire are who are looking to recruit a Payroll and HR Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis.


Payroll Duties

Monthly processing of payroll input to include: starters, leavers, sickness absence, overtime, maternity, pension, change of personal details, or any other required input.
Dealing with payroll queries via phone, email and face to face
Updating of all schedules related to payroll processing
Payslip distribution, processing of payroll letters and preparation of payroll file.
Assisting with the organisation of pension presentations.

HR Duties

Preparation and administration of all HR documentation offers, starter packs, leavers, references, probation and pension.
Induction support to ensure all relevant documentation is provided and documented.
Tracking of probation and temporary staff dates, to remain compliant
Assisting with maternity, paternity, flexible working and sickness matters.
Support annual payroll and HR processes e.g. appraisal audit as required
Filing and scanning of relevant documentation.

Payroll Administrator

My client is an accountancy bureau based in Northampton. As an expanding business they are now looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to become a permanent member of their team. You must have start to finish payroll experience working in an accountancy practice or payroll bureau

Main Purpose of the Role:

To manage own portfolio of clients and to assist the Payroll Services Manager with the day-to-day operation of the centralised payroll department providing payroll services to clients

Roles and Responsibilities

Processing weekly and monthly payrolls on a daily basis including:
Entering hours, adjustments, overtime, expenses and pension adjustments
Processing leavers and starters including holiday calculations
Checking data, tax code changes and banking
Printing/emailing or sending payslips and reports
Advising clients of HMRC liability each period
Real Time Information submissions for each payroll processed
Processing Year Ends on SAGE and issuing P60s to clients
Liaising with management on any department issues and dealing confidently with any complex payroll queries that arise when the Payroll Manager is out of the office.
Answering client and in-house queries in a timely and efficient manner
Journals and analysis for clients
Management of workflow
General ad hoc duties and filing

My client is an established business in Lincolnshire. They are active in their search for a Deputy Payroll Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. To be considered you must have experience in processing payroll in a high volume environment
They will consider candidates that have been working in a Team Lead capacity who are looking at Payroll Management as the next step in their career.

Job Purpose

To provide day to day management and development of the Payroll Team.

Key Responsibilities

responsible for planning the workload of the Payroll team in order to meet all deadlines.
Deputise in the absence of the Group Payroll Manager
To manage, support and develop the Payroll team, ensuring a first class payroll service to the business.
To provide a high standard of service to both internal and external customers, in accordance with legislation, company Policies, processes and procedures.
Maintains any payroll related systems, making sure they are kept up to date with any upgrades, legislation and access.
Ensuring regular team 1-2-1 meetings are held, setting out the teams objectives in line with the MyHR Services KPIs, completing the annual performance reviews for all team members.
Adhering to all internal and legislative deadlines for processing of the payroll
Completing P11d return, P60s, and any other Year End returns
Providing management information for the whole business as and when required
Liaising with HMRC and any other 3rd party providers.
Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.

Bureau Payroll Administrator

Main Purpose of the Role:

To manage own portfolio of clients and to assist the Payroll Services Manager with the day-to-day operation of the centralised payroll department providing payroll services to clients

Roles and Responsibilities

Working knowledge of computerised payroll with SAGE 50 Payroll preferred
Computer literate on Microsoft Office (WORD & EXCEL)
Good knowledge of RTI, statutory payments, auto enrolment, pension schemes and current legislation
Ability to do manual PAYE and NIC calculations
Understanding and ability to do manual calculations of SSP, SMP and SPP
Good all round general payroll knowledge
Methodical and good eye for detail
Excellent customer focussed service delivery
Ability to confidently discuss payroll queries and current legislation with clients and management
Professional telephone manner
Ability to work independently
