Our client is a well-established financial business based in Staverton. Due to an increase in business they are now recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their team.

The Role

This role supports a team of 10 with the production of payroll for multiple clients on a weekly, monthly, fortnightly and annual basis.


Processing Payroll from client information
Building and maintaining good relationships with clients, liaising on payroll and associated queries
Providing a support service to other departments on client payroll and PAYE matters
Data handling for clients and preparing reports and documentation
Maintaining accurate and concise record systems
Providing administrative support to the payroll team
Dealing with ad hoc queries
Managing internal relationships and dealing with 3rd party queries (HMRC etc.)

Deputy Payroll Manager Accountancy

Salary: to £36.000 depending on experience + benefits

My client is thriving accountancy practice who have been in business for over 20 years. Due to business growth they are now recruiting for a Deputy Payroll Manager to join the business on a permanent basis

Purpose of Role

You will be responsible for the management of the Client Lifecycle Team and providing direct support to the Payroll Manager.
You will have excellent supervisory and communication skills which compliment comprehensive payroll experience.


To manage the Client Lifecycle Team ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance
To assistant the payroll manager with the daily management of the payroll team
Provide technical support to staff and clients on PAYE matters
Assist with training new team members
Active support in business development including attending pitches. You will initially be assisting the Payroll Manager in pitching client services to new clients.
Over time you will carry out these pitches alone in the Payroll Managers Absence
Client service visits to maintain service standards and relationships
Processing BACS payments
Assisting processing teams when required and where practical

Supervisory responsibilities

There are 10 in the team, you will be responsible for supervising 8 of these
