Opportunity to work for a global business located in the centre of Birmingham, managing a team of payroll professionals processing circa 10,000 employees

Interested? If so my client is seeking a Payroll Manager to take responsibility for the transactional payroll function for the UK, additionally some European entities. Knowledge of Expatriate payroll is desirable

Candidates will be knowledgeable Payroll Managers, with demonstrable experience of managing and motivating a team ideally within a shared services environment, whilst driving forward the payroll department on a day to day basis

In addition to hands on payroll knowledge, the successful candidate will have the gravitas to represent the department at senior level

Payroll Implementation and Training Consultant
Territory – Birmingham to London
£30k - £40k DOE + bonus + benefits

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Implementation and Training Consultant to use their experience working for an established provider of payroll software – delivering consultancy and training services to their client base

Applicants will either be working in a similar position or be an experienced payroll professional – ideally with supervisory or management experience.

The successful candidate will:
Provide pre-sale consultancy with the sales team
Work with the implementation team to plan and implement the payroll software – Project managing from start to finish
Provide guidance and train the client’s employees in the use of the product
Assist with the production of training material – either for face to face or self-leaning
Provide post implementation support as required

In addition to having the required industry knowledge, applicants will have client facing skills and be able to travel to various client sites within their designated region

The successful candidate will have responsibility for analysing and monitoring dated related to international business travelers working with internal colleagues and Expatriate Tax advisors to advise on employment and expatriate tax matters for the EMEA and US regions

Candidates will ideally have experience of:
• Researching, analysing and interpreting key data and statistics
• Advising on Global Mobility processes
• Short-Term Business Visitors (STBV) knowledge
• Identifying traveller tax risk, efficiencies and opportunities
• Some knowledge of global tax

Applicants will have demonstrable analytical skills with advanced Excel knowledge
