Our client a well established maufacturing company based in North Leeds is looking to recruit an experienced pert time Bookkeeper. Based in modern offices you will be working in a small team and working alongside a part time finance assistant.

To be successful in the role you will need to have experience within a similar role and be organised with good IT skills.

As Bookkeeper you duties will include:

  • Producing payroll information four weekly and monthly
  • Calculating pensions, dividends, commission payments and death in service
  • Petty cash
  • Accounts, purchase/sales ledger/ bank reconciliation/invoicing/credit control/VAT returns/ budgets
  • Year end processes
  • Deal with accounts queries
  • Raising credit notes
  • Producing weekly and monthly reports
  • Monitoring the clocking in hours of the production staff
  • Travel and bookings
  • Support the senior team
  • Hr administration

    Our client based in Northwest Leeds, a global organisation specialising in Consultancy Services have an opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join their IT services Team. Based in Leeds office you'll support and assist the business across the UK and Europe. Key components include, servers, the wide area and local networks, Wifi, Windows desktop, unified communications and cloud (M365, Azure AD, OneDrive, Arc, EndPoint Manager and Defender ATP). Focusing on the user experience and security.

    You will be required to pro actively improve, optimise, converge, and develop the infrastructure with future capacity in mind, managing multiple projects and responsibilities. Provide advice and guidance on maintaining the cloud, server, network and security environments, plan and instigate hardware and software upgrades as required, and ensure that planned processes have been completed satisfactorily.

    Duties and responsibilities include but not be limited to:

Financial Controller

Our client is an Eco Food Technology company based in Leeds. They are a sustainable producer of seasonal fruit harvesting rainwater from a 25-million-gallon lake to hydroponically grow the finest produce with no soil erosion. They have won numerous awards for their innovation and the way they look after their team. They are dedicated to driving investment back into British farming and British people.

In recent years the business has diversified and now has trading entities and startup operations across storage, office leasing, warehousing, soft drinks and land development as well as the aviation sector.

Due to the ongoing success of the business, they now require a Financial Controller. Finance is a close knit and flexible team. The purpose of the role is to support their continued development and enable further improvements across the finance and IT functions.

They are now looking to recruit a high calibre Financial Controller to support the owners to deliver effective financial control, on time and accurate reporting and detailed management information to support the strategic direction of the various enterprises. The role will be the number one role in finance and will work closely with the owners, being part of the management team.

The role will be hands on, providing accurate and effective financial control across the whole group of companies with key responsibilities including but not being limited to:

  • Ensuring smooth running of finances for the various businesses
  • Development and production of monthly management accounts and MI as required
  • Development of the finance systems, controls and processes that will meet the current and future needs of the group
  • Production of Statutory accounts and liaison with auditors on all account and tax matters
  • Management of the finance team
  • Banking and bank reconciliations
  • Assist owners in preparing and achieving overall business strategy (including forecast cash flows, budgets and forecasting)
  • Support new business ventures with any financial input as required
  • Treasury management including cash flow and forecasting

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with an excellent academic record and experience to date.

The successful candidate will be a real team player, proactive with gravitas, impact and excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work closely with an entrepreneurial business owner. Demonstrable commercial acumen is essential. The ability to manage and lead a team and be fully conversant with finance systems, such as Sage or similar, is essential, as is a good knowledge of Excel. Experience of costings and operations finance is also required.

Additionally they will demonstrate strong integrity, understanding the need for confidentiality and strong governance in the business. The candidate will be expected to work all reasonable hours necessary to fulfil the role requirements.

Remuneration

The role is provisionally proposed at a base salary of circa £55,000 to £60,000 plus 25 days holiday not including statutory days and benefits.
